the lincoln bedroom

We caught up with our dear friends Ben and Isaac as their band, The Lincoln Bedroom, kicked off their East Coast tour. Max and L.I.A had a blast, and later Mama and Daddy rocked out with the band. Fun times!

self portraits of Max

It used to be that Max's parents had to make self portraits with Max. Now we are entirely dispensable.

Cousin Célimène

L.I.A.'s first outing (at 3 days!) was to visit her cousin, world-class pianist Célimene Daudet.

California!

We took our first family vacation to Orange County! Some highlights-- we caught up with old friends Ben and Matt (aka Puddles and Babushka-- note that Babushka never did send those pictures), Max and Daddy hung out at Newport Beach and the Disneyland Hotel, and LIA helped Mama present her poster at Experimental Biology, where she met the illustrious Voet and Voet.

TKO

Max has been honing his boxing skills. We tried to warn you, Uncle Ian... you don't want it with a Malloy.

giving thanks

we had a wonderful long weekend. We put Max's letter puzzle together, and now it graces his ceiling. Surprisingly, after this fiasco, we were only missing 3 small pieces.

there's the best...

and then there are the other Max Malloys of the world. There's

Max Malloy, communications nerd.

and Max Malloy, scrawny high school football player.

and Max Malloy, "christian.golf.piano.sand volleyball.birds and the bees.fireworks.beach at pawleys island, sc.trampolines.snowboarding at breck.drumset.p90x.left behind series."(hey, your cooler toddler namesake likes trampolines too!)

Sadly, Google has stopped finding my two favorites, Max Malloy, revolutionary playwright, and Max Malloy, (former?) head coach of the Mighty Cupcakes soccer team.
