South Carolina!

We took our first family road trip to Ruby, SC to visit the Max and LIA's Great Grandmother Edwards and their great Aunt Gail and Uncle Mike. We had a wonderful time! Max even got a taste of farm life.

The Malloys have been traveling! We're at a bit of a bottleneck, blogwise. We must post pictures of our trip to South Carolina before we show you what we did in Florida, and tomorrow we're off to DC! We'll get this traffic jam cleared soonish. Meanwhile, Max is 4! According to our young hero's wishes, we celebrated his birthday by going bowling, to Target, and to Monkey Joes.

L.I.A. spent her first birthday with four generations of Malloys in Ruby, SC! Here we are celebrating with Uncle Mike and Aunt Gail. Much more from Ruby to come!

Florida!

Grandpa took Max on a spur-of-the-moment boyz trip to Florida. Max had a great time seeing his family. Wish we could have all gone!

We took our first family vacation to Orange County! Some highlights-- we caught up with old friends Ben and Matt (aka Puddles and Babushka-- note that Babushka never did send those pictures), Max and Daddy hung out at Newport Beach and the Disneyland Hotel, and LIA helped Mama present her poster at Experimental Biology, where she met the illustrious Voet and Voet.

only 2 months later... Max and his little cousins went down to take pictures with Man Claire, their great grandmother. At future visits, there will be wrestling.
