Max's trip to FL

was fun! I hope we can get more pictures. Faithful readers, if I were there I would have taken a ton. But since I was in Nashville, sleeping whenever I wanted, drinking to excess at Mom's night out (okay, maybe not to excess, but a girl can pretend she really took advantage of her time off, right?), getting spa'd out, and catching up in the lab, what you see is what you get for now.

A funny thing about baby brains. When Grandpa left Max at Tante Guilene and Uncle Charmant's house, Max cried for a little while. But when Grandpa's brother, Uncle Charmant, showed up, Max was a bit confused by the resemblance and calmed right down! Those Theodores, I tell you. No telling 'em apart.

One other thing: there must be something about the low pressure on airplanes, because every time Max gets on one, he sprouts another tooth. Someone should study that.

we're not in florida anymore, toto

Not much tears at a mom's heartstrings as much as a tornado in your immediate area when your dear boy is 15 miles away. I was huddled in my bathroom waiting for it to be over. Give me a hurricane any day.

PS Max voted for Obama.

moral compass

(pictures to follow)

Our dear protagonist knows the difference between right and wrong! When I happen upon him mischiefing (shredding leaves, eating paper, unraveling the toilet paper, etc) the boy laughs and takes off crawling at high speed away from the scene of the crime.
