Budget Spa
Do you need a great gift for the holidays? For a small fee, we will dispatch young Max to your house, or the house of your loved one, where he will hide bread between your bedsheets. The bread dries and forms a lot of crumbs that act as a natural exfoliant. You too can wake up with smooth-as-Max's-bottom skin. Call for details.

Grandmere-gram
Dispatch from Florida:
It was delightful having Max a little bit. He ate his five course lunch like a dignitary. First course soup: mixture of two soups one with water cress and pear, the other one was my new soup made with all white vegetables: white eggplant, white asparagus, navet, white of the leeks, choufleur, nappa cabbage. He ate it to the last drop. His second course was the tomato, cucumber, hearts of palm salad with my garden herbs dressing: parsley, three kinds of basil, two kinds of mint. He graciously declined the tomatoes but heartily chewed the cucumbers with the incisives (his only chewing tools at this time). However his very favorite course was the bowtie pasta with pesto sauce. He had seconds. The toblerone tablet for a finish did not displease him either.
Enjoy the pics. Love, Mom
PS. Along with his new toy, he knows how to count to five but in " Maxism". His very own language which we (poor) grownups are unable to grasp, however since he added illustration to the counting (with his fingers) I know it was a coherent language.

grandpa-gram/ 1st sentence?!!!
Dispatch from Big Max:
"On thursday october 30 I went to pick up Maxi from the baby sitter. As I was carrying him down the steps, the boy told me as clearly as day 'I want to walk' while pointing to the steps. I put him down. Not grand pa hearing things."
boy genius.

If at first you don't succeed.
For the record: Max made the ramp himself -- dragged it right up off the floor onto the table. Really, he did!

Dear Crayola
Please reconsider calling your crayon colors by such appetizing names as "apricot" and "plum." My son reads the labels and, confused, expects the crayons to taste like their namesakes.
Sincerely,
Max's Mama.

time flies
well, I'll upload a video tonight -- peekaboo, revisited.
Meanwhile, our young hero has learned to undress himself. He was so excited about this new feat that he tried it in public yesterday.

Dance Craze
Do the Max y'all... The clubs are going crazy with it right now. I saw them doing it on 106 and Park just last week.

Breakfast/ updates to the Maxicon
So sorry dear readers, where has the time gone?!
Well, I'll retrieve the camera from the babysitter tonight. And by the weekend we will all have our fill of new antics and hijinks.
But till then, here are the latest entries to the Maxicon:
awuhwoo -- a term of affection
this -- anything that you have, that he wants
wassis -- anything needing identification
byepahla -- parting words for Paula
gaday -- the boy is bilingual!
I'll think of more...

Moving on up to the East Side
The Malloys have new digs! We have found a beautiful little pre-war cottage in East Nashville, and we are in the process of making the little house a home. More dispatches to follow.

Roseola
Max got a bug. I think it's from trying to eat the handles of the supermarket cart. Roseola, aka 6th disease, made Max miserable for the greater part of last week. It came on with a worrisome fever and an occasional runny nose. Apparently he had a killer headache too, which manifested in hysterical screaming from 1:50-4:20 Sunday morning. Well if you had a monster migraine, and your mother didn't understand your language, wouldn't you scream too? Then when the fever came down, a rash broke out from his neck to his navel. And he wouldn't eat much, so that's when I knew things were really askew in Malloypolis. Because Max, like his mother, has a very healthy appetite. Poor kid. He's all better now.
Anyway, I'll put some pictures up soon.
