Max has mastered the art of feeding himself with a spoon. (Did I say master? Perhaps I exaggerate. To be a master, I think, you need to understand the concept of 'concave side up -- food to mouth. concave side down -- food to oriental rug.' we're not quite there). Cousins Oscar and Karine took Max to show off his skills at the local ice cream parlor, where he ate bubble-gum and cotton-candy flavors. Dr. Kawai is going to teach him how to use chopsticks.
